Dovelyne writes about the decisions households actually make: school, pets, food, money, home life, things to do and the products families buy. If you make something that belongs in that world, we would like to hear about it.
This page explains how that works before you spend time on a pitch.
What you can bring us
- A product you would like considered for review
- A product you would like considered for a buying guide or comparison
- A service, an app, a subscription or a piece of software
- A partnership or collaboration proposal
- A sponsored content enquiry
- A press release, an announcement or a press kit
- An event, an activity or a place families can go
- A general business enquiry that does not fit any of the above
Small independent makers are as welcome here as large brands. We are more interested in whether something genuinely helps a household than in how big the company behind it is.
What we promise
We read every submission. We consider it on the same evidence standards as anything else we cover, set out in how we research and how we verify. If we write about it, we will describe it accurately, and we will disclose any commercial relationship on the page.
What we do not promise
Please read this part properly. It is the part that most often causes disappointment.
- Sending a submission does not guarantee a review
- Sending a product does not guarantee coverage of any kind
- Payment does not buy a positive review, a rating or a verdict
- Nothing guarantees inclusion in a buying guide, or a position within one
- We cannot promise a publication date, and we may publish nothing at all
- We may decline any submission, and we do not have to explain why
- Our editorial conclusions stay ours, including conclusions you will not like
If we cover something, the conclusion is reached on the evidence. That is the only reason coverage on Dovelyne is worth having. The full commercial position is on how we make money and advertising and partnerships.
Samples
You do not need to send a physical product to make a submission, and we would rather you did not send one before we have replied.
If we agree to receive a sample, receiving it creates no obligation to publish, and no obligation to reach a favourable conclusion. Samples may not be returned unless we agree that in writing beforehand. Where a product was supplied by the brand, the article says so.
If we have not used a product ourselves, the article says that too, and it carries an evidence label that reflects it.
What happens after you send this
Your submission is stored privately and read by an editor. We reply when we want to take something further. We are a small operation and we cannot reply to everything, so if you have not heard from us within three weeks, please take that as a no rather than a maybe.
Send a submission
The form below asks the questions we would otherwise have to email you about. Only the first few fields are required. The more of the rest you can fill in, the faster we can give you a straight answer.
