Not the big life decisions. The ordinary ones that still take an hour of searching: which lunchbox survives a school term, whether a slow feeder actually helps, what the school really means by “library bag”, how much a puppy costs in the first year, and what to do when the morning routine collapses at ten past seven.
What we cover
Seven areas, chosen because they are where households spend time, money and worry:
- Kids and school: starting school, the school year, homework, routines, screens and the gear that goes with all of it
- Pets: dogs and cats, feeding, training, grooming, vet costs, and living with an animal in a rented house
- Family food: lunchboxes, weeknight dinners, meal planning, fussy eating and feeding a family on a budget
- Home and family life: organisation, cleaning, storage, safety and the admin that keeps a household running
- Money and work: household budgets, the cost of children, government payments, bills and working around school hours
- Things to do: school holidays, free activities, rainy days, parks, day trips and birthdays
- Shopping and reviews: what to buy, what to skip, and how to tell the difference
Who it is for
Households, wherever they are. Most of what we cover is universal, and where guidance genuinely depends on where you live, the article says so rather than pretending otherwise. That is not a marketing line, it is a constraint we hold ourselves to.
Where an article is country specific, it says which country, and the detail is checked for that country: the prices, the retailers, the school terms, the seasons and the government payments. If we cannot write something accurately for the reader we are aiming at, we do not run a generic version and hope nobody notices.
What we are not
We are not a parenting blog and there is no personal diary here. We do not publish sponsored content dressed as editorial. We do not write “I tested these for six weeks” about products nobody touched.
Where we have not tested something, the article says so, plainly, at the top.
