How you can tell
Any page carrying a live affiliate link displays a disclosure box near the top. Article cards on listing pages also note it.
That box is generated, not written. Our system looks at the links actually on the page and switches disclosure on if any of them is commercial. Nobody types it, and nobody can forget it. If you do not see the box, the page is not earning us anything.
What it does not affect
Commission never influences:
- Which products appear in an article
- The order they appear in
- The verdict, the rating or the recommendation
- Any safety position
The way the site is built makes this more than a promise. Recommendations are written and ranked before any commercial link exists, and articles contain no URLs at all, only references to product records. A link can be added, changed or removed later without a word of the article changing. The judgement was made without it.
Where there are no commercial links at all
Safety content carries none. Not fewer, none. That includes anything about car restraints, sleep, choking, allergies, medication, electrical safety and pet health emergencies.
Sponsored content and partnerships
Sponsored articles and paid brand partnerships are labelled as such, clearly, at the top of the article and in a different colour to an affiliate notice. A sponsored article never carries a review verdict or a safety position.
We keep these three relationships visually distinct on purpose. “We might earn a commission if you buy this” and “a brand paid for this page” are not the same thing and should never look the same.
Programmes
Where Dovelyne participates in an affiliate programme, that relationship is disclosed on the pages where it applies. We do not add tracking parameters to a link ourselves, and we never fabricate a tracking identifier for a programme we have not joined.
